Glossary term
Indexed Exchange Rate
An indexed exchange rate refers to an exchange rate that has been adjusted or standardized on the basis of a particular economic factor, a group of currencies, or any other financial index. It assists in keeping the currency price stable because it makes the movements contingent upon some predetermined economic factors rather than depending on the market alone.
