Hedge Ratio

The term hedge ratio describes the percentage of an exposure that is hedged against the risks involved in such an activity. In foreign exchange, it determines the amount of protection for a particular exposure against exchange rate changes via the use of tools such as forwards. The greater the hedge ratio, the better is the risk mitigation. It helps businesses manage risk effectively in international transactions.
